Sponsor an Instrument

Starting a new, small independent business involves lots of start up costs! Someone has suggested that one way to involve friends, family and local community in my new venture, and promote my new Early Years music classes at the same time, would be to ask folks to sponsor an instrument. I hope this will be a fun way for you to support me, and get involved as I begin to hopefully create an important – and currently lacking – quality musical space for families in Leeds!

The instruments I need to set up Music at Heart range from a few pounds up into the hundreds of pounds. I´ve listed them in order of importance, not price, so please scroll down to see some of the smaller items. They are all quality wooden or natural instruments (almost completely avoiding plastic) selected for their beautiful sound and feel – I believe quality music education in the Early Years nurtures a life-long love of music, and so instruments with a really good tone are a must.

If you would like to support me by donating an instrument, please purchase an item directly by using the links below and send to the following address: Ms Caitlin Mayall, Music at Heart, 49 Roundhay Grove, Leeds, LS8 4DR.

As soon as you can, let me know what you have bought so I can avoid multiple purchases and personally THANK YOU for your generosity! (For legal reasons, I can´t accept financial donations as a sole trader, but I can accept physical donations ie instruments.)

As a thank you, Tom, Grace and I will be hosting an informal, family-friendly garden party at the end of August for everybody who has donated, big or small. We hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for your support!!

Much love, Caitlin x

Other ways to support Music at Heart

I am looking for crafty helpers!

I need some draw string bags to keep puppets and small instruments safe and well cared for. I would love these to be home made, as it would be so much more personal, so if you think this might be up your street, get in touch!

Teddy is an important part of all my music classes. Teddy helps the children to have confidence, sing solos and try new things. So I would love someone to knit me a class set of 12 beautiful woolen teddies. If you think you are this person, please contact me!

Recommend-a-friend!

If you can´t afford to sponsor me right now, but could share my classes with any expectant parents or families with young children, that would be equally amazing and helpful!

Sign up to a class or purchase a gift voucher!

Sign up to class if you have little ones!

See also my shop page with gift vouchers if you would like to give a unique musical gift to a pregnant friend or a young child.

Donate pre-existing instruments

Do you have a beautiful instrument sitting at home which never gets used? I would love to give new life to these, and they would bring lots of little people much joy!

Please get in touch if you have any quality instruments, particularly small percussion (nothing damaged or out of tune, and no plastic), which you would love to see used and cared for. Ideally, send a picture and a short description of each instrument!
