Kodály said that “music belongs to everybody“. Music at Heart serves the diverse community of Leeds, and aims to enable all families to attend our classes without barriers. We offer free and subsidised class places to those on low incomes, with SENDsingle parent families, and those struggling with mental health in the first 2 years of parenting. We welcome asylum seekers and refugeesnon-English speakersLGBT and queer families, and those of all faiths and none.

Music at Heart is a small business and not-for-profit organisation. One of our core values is to widen participation in quality musical education in the early years. We are so grateful to the generous support of good will donations, as well as funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to support our work.

It costs around £6.50 per week to send 1 child to our Kodály music classes.

A one off donation of £39 will send a child to music class for half a term (6 classes)

A regular donation of £6.50/month (over 12 months) will send a child to music class for 1 term of the year (12 weeks)

A regular donation of £21/month will send a child to music class for 1 year

An annual donation of £78 will send a child to 12 music classes (a full term)

You can donate to Music at Heart below; all donations received go directly to funding places for families who would otherwise struggle to attend. These donations to do not fund our general running costs, they only cover teacher pay and venue hire for the specific sessions our bursary children will attend. Thank you so much.
