A gentle music class and wellbeing space for pre-crawling babies, their grown-ups and pregnant women from third trimester onwards
This is a group for both parents and babies. I teach simple songs and rhymes that you can sing and play with your baby whilst changing, feeding, during bath time and to lull them to sleep, as well as some seasonal songs. We explore the stunning Music at Heart instruments, use scarves for some gentle sensory listening and learn finger rhymes with actions and props. We also take the time to check in with each other through a sharing circle at the beginning of the session, giving a chance to connect with other parents and settle in before the class starts. There are tea, coffee and biscuits which I bring to you whilst you relax and enjoy the session.
When: Fridays 1pm – 2.30 pm (90 minutes)
Where: Harehills Lane Baptist Church (Side Entrance), 13 Hilton Place, Leeds LS8 4HE
Cost: £10 per adult per session paid in a half termly block. Includes refreshments.
Information about the venue
Harehills Lane Baptist Church “Lounge” space, which we use on Fridays, is accessible for wheelchair users and there are baby changing facilities. When you get to the church, come in through the side entrance on Hilton Place. There is plenty of free on street parking available. HLBC asks that visitors to the building don´t park on Hilton Place itself, due to leaving space for local residents, but instead park on Harehills Lane or Hilton Grove. Cycle racks are also available immediately outside the side entrance should you wish to cycle, and the local 91 bus stops just outside the church on Harehills Lane.
